Ixpress2 is a connection system for multilayer pipes at plumbing and heating installations.
The main characteristic of the ixPress2 is that it is a push-fit connection system and does not require the use of tools to make the unions, so you can make your plumbing and heating installations in a quick and extremely easy way.
IxPress2 push-fit fittings are compatible with both PEX-Al-PEX and PERT-Al-PERT multilayer pipes.
The material used in the manufacture of ixPress2 is, exclusively, top quality European brass (CW617N) which complies with the most demanding sanitary legislations of the European Union.
Technical characteristics of the ixPress2 push-fit system
The new ixPress2 push-fit fitting system has been 100% designed and developed in-house by the R&D technicians of Industrial Blansol, leading company in the production of cross-linked polyethylene and multilayer pipes and advanced connection systems.
The technical improvements introduced in the new ixPress2 fittings are the following:
- Conic design of the final part of the brass body of the fitting. This design improves the safety of the union when the union is working under stresses and flexion efforts.
- The sealing gasket of the new ixPress2 is wider than the traditional O-rings. This greater width reduces the risk of gasket displacement while introducing the pipe in the fitting.
- Higher sealing gasket on the nippel level. This higher elevation increases the safety of the fitting as it absorbs the dimensional tolerances of the pipe.
- External free rotating cap. This lets the orientation of the fitting according to the needs of the installer.
- Maximum pipe length inserted into the external cap of the fitting. The design of the fitting allows the pipe to be introduced till the end of the ixPress2 which improves the safety of the union.
- Visual comprobation of the safety of the union. The external transparent cap of the ixPress2 fittings lets you check visually that the pipe has been correctly introduced.
- Design of the inox retainer. The retainer ring is designed so that the necessary force to insert the pipe is minimal and, to the contrary, the necessary force to extract the pipe is huge.
- Brass with low lead content. The brass alloy used in the production of ixPress2 push-fit fittings has a low lead content meeting the most demanding European regulations concerning materials in contact with drinking water.
